Eco Glow Scrub Showcased at JKPI 2026

Dr. Khadijah, M.Si., a lecturer in the Chemistry Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Khairun, introduced Eco Glow Scrub, a natural body scrub made from household waste, at the 2026 Indonesian Heritage Cities Network (JKPI) Exhibition. The event took place from August 26–29, 2026, at the historic Oranje Fort in Ternate.

Eco Glow Scrub is an innovative product that transforms household waste into a value-added skincare product. Its development explores the potential of materials often considered worthless by repurposing them into a natural body scrub while encouraging more creative and sustainable waste utilization.

The participation of Eco Glow Scrub in the JKPI 2026 Exhibition provided an opportunity to introduce an innovation based on local resources to a wider audience. This initiative also reflects the contribution of lecturers from the Chemistry Education Study Program at Universitas Khairun in applying scientific knowledge through product development that promotes waste utilization and creates added value.
